What You Will Do
As a Leasing Specialist at Gowanus Wharf, you are the front line of the resident experience. You will guide prospects from first inquiry through move-in, manage tours and applications, and bring a confident, hospitality-forward presence to the property every day.
You will work on active lease-ups supported by strong inbound lead flow, dedicated marketing, and modern leasing systems – balancing sales performance with operational accuracy at every step.
As additional buildings come online across the Wharf, there is a real opportunity to grow your scope and take on more responsibility as a residential leasing agent alongside a rapidly scaling development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full apartment leasing lifecycle from inquiry through move-in on an active lease-up.
- Conduct tours and maintain strong, consistent follow up with prospects.
- Own application coordination, approvals, and resident onboarding.
- Represent the Gowanus Wharf brand on-site every day.
- Collaborate with property management and operations teams.
- Maintain accurate leasing records and documentation.
Who Are You
- You bring 1+ years of residential leasing experience as a leasing agent or similar role; a real estate salesperson’s license is preferred, though we will consider candidates without it who have exceptional interpersonal skills.
- You’re available on weekends based on leasing demand and comfortable being on-site and moving throughout the property during the workday.
- You communicate clearly and build relationships with ease.
- You’re comfortable managing high lead and tour volume without losing attention to detail.
- You follow through consistently.
- You have experience with CRMs and residential leasing or property management platforms (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar); familiarity with project management tools like Monday or Asana is a plus.
- You have a working knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and Fair Housing compliance.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $100,000
